Dear Parents & Guardians of our students, November 10, 2011
Pick-up & drop-off for students has always been in the rear (north end) of the school. Our parking lot is circular to facilitate an area to pull up where the child exits or enters the vehicle, and then leave. The front (south end) of our school is not set up for heavy traffic at any time. The parking is for staff, and the only drop-off is our Day Care vans.
I have been contacted by APS Risk Management as well as APS Police and instructed to remind all drivers of the school’s policy regarding transportation of children.
This is a safety issue, and in recent weeks, we have had more than one child almost struck by a vehicle. I am asking all adults to please help us keep our entire population safe by using the designated area located in the north end of the school campus.
Sincerely,
Mr Maresca
The Kickstand bike shop is supporting our students at MPES by donating a Bike and Helmet to be raffled off at the end of testing. Every time your 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade student is here and on time for the SBA testing they will receive a raffle ticket. Testing days are March 29 through April 9th. Please have your child well rested and on time for the testing.
