Matheson Park Elementary School
Once again our school was treated to a morning filled with guests from all over Albuquerque, representing a variety of companies and jobs. Joining our fair we had; a radio DJ, horse doctor, commercial painting, artist, air force pilot, Indian education liason, sheet metal worker/welder, systems analyst, restaurant management, waste management, mechanic, electrician, sign language interpreter, ambulance service, nurse, and science & math teachers. The students were prepped with surveys and rewarded with knowledge and a few goodies from our guests. I am so blessed to have so manyhelpers and workers behind the scenes that put this together and and were led by our own Ms Chacon. A great big thank you to our guests for taking the time out of their busy day to support our students and out school. Below are a few pitures from the fair.
Red Ribbon Week wrapped up Friday, October 30th, with an assembly of the entire school. Every after-school program had the opportunity to demonstrat, show samples, or talk about all of the activities they have been involved in. Character Counts was the theme we selected to support Red Ribbon Week, and our wonderful counselor, Ms Vigil, provided the activities, the daily pledge, and every topic that was talked about during the morning announcements for the week. Please enjoy the pictures below.
