Matheson Park gets excited about Earth Day 2008...

With Ms. Bronwyn Jones leading the charge, every student and teacher at Matheson Park got involved for Earth Day 2008.  Some of the things that went on today are; Every  child decorated a paper grocery bag showing different ways to help the Earth.  The winning bags (1 from every class was selected) are on display at  Albertson's on Eubank & Candelaria.  The rest of the bags were given to customers today.  An Earth Day quilt was created by kindegarten students and is on display in our cafeteria.  An Earth Day Mural decorates another wall in the cafeteria.  Waste Management spoke to the entire school today about recycling.  Posters were created and placed through out the entire school.  2nd grade students used chalk to decorate our courtyard.  5th grade students picked up trash from the playground.

As the principal of this wonderful school, I'm very proud of the hard work everyone has put in to making this day such a huge success.  I invite all of you reading this to come by and look at all of the wonderful things going on at our school.
